Keyboardist Hendrik Lasure and drummer Casper Van De Velde continue their work as a duo with electronics, samples, a noise box and robotic beaters (sic). Their latest – and third – album Holiday won praise from all quarters. De Standaard: “This is music that is not readily defined, and that is what makes it so exciting. In Holiday, schntzl have released their third and best album.” De Morgen: “Maximalist synths à la Rustie, uplifting ambient and childlike, off-kilter grooves. Wonderful!”

DIJF SANDERS (8pm)

Dijf Sanders returns at last to AB to present his brand-new album, produced in collaboration with Europalia Georgia.

. Electronics and drums are propelled and inspired by the complex, emotional nature of Georgian polyphony. This time, following on from concept albums like Java – for which the Ghent artist spent several weeks traversing the Indonesian island of the same name – and Puja – the result of a musical trek through Nepal - Sanders presents powerful musical interpretations of age-old torch songs and odes to joy, inspired by his travels in Georgia.

BERAADGESLAGEN (9pm)

“BeraadGeslagen is our defence against adulthood,” Lander Gyselinck (STUFF.) and Fulco Ottervanger (De Beren Gieren) once explained. Bruzz endorsed this position: “They look like the Peppi and Kokki of electro and their sonic antics in bubblegum hues taste like The Jazz on Drugs. Welcome to the childlike universe of Lander Gyselinck and Fulco Ottervanger.” Following on from their dazzling 2018 debut, Duizeldorp, they present a brand-new album.
